Most notable among Eleanor's contributions here in Berkshire County has been the establishment of a new organization called Save the Housatonic - an initiative to get the state's Secretary of Environmental Affairs, Ian Bowles, to declare and incorporate a ACEC designation of the upper Housatonic River. On March 30th of this year she was successful!!!
